W.A.R. Links Checker stops Google search

I have been having some problems with W.A.R. Links Checker which prevents me from searching with google. Using the google toolbar search or directly trying to load the google webpage results in the page loading and then immediately going to an error 404 screen. The URL changes to https://www.google.co.uk/%5E(/d+/d+/d+).*/

I have been using Opera v48 with Tampermonkey and it only happens when W.A.R. Links Checker is enabled. Other search engines such as Yahoo, DuckDuckGo work normally. Disabling Tampermonkey or Links Checker allows a normal search on google.

The same problem occurs in Firefox when using TamperMonkey which was newly installed. Greasemonkey does not have the same problem but that is not available for Opera. I can blacklist google in TamperMonkey Security settings in the blacklisted page url's but that prevents any script working on google and also prevents any link checking on google search which is not ideal.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and is there any other way around it so that it works correctly?

I have had a couple others tell me that they have the same problem but I can't figure out why it is interfering with the google search pages.

I have excluded the google.co.* pages and it should not interfere anymore, Let me know if it works for you now.

Thanks, that has stopped the google error and it does now show no scripts working on google search page. I have removed google from the TamperMonkey blacklist.

It seems strange why TamperMonkey has this problem whereas GreaseMonkey does not.

Is it confined to TamperMonkey or does ViolentMonkey also show a similar problem? I could never get the configuration working on ViolentMonkey.

I had to undo this change to get the script to update/install on FF stable with GM 3.17. Error is:

I'm having the same problem still on 1.4.2.1 - but it might be related to the fact that I use google.de as I'm located in Germany.
Expanding the exclusion to google.* would be great.

For me, it currently does not work.

First system:
Windows 10 Pro, 64bit
Opera 48.0.2685.52
ViolentMonkey 2.5.7
W.A.R. 1.4.2.3

Searching for "momentum" gives the Google result page and after a moment reloads with the URL

with the error message "404. That’s an error.

On the same system, running Firefox 56.0 64bit everything is fine.

On the same system, Chromium 63.0.3224.0, google.de also redirects to the error page.

Second system:
Linux Mint 18.2 64bit
Chromium 62.0.3202.62
TamperMonkey 4.4
W.A.R. 1.4.2.3

Searching a term under Google.com does not redirect. When I enter google.de, it redirects to the same error page as with my first system.

It worked for me in firefox & chrome but for some reason just excluding google.de did not work in opera, i excluded all of google and now it works in all 3 browsers for me, give it another try now.
